Dr. Gary Patterson is the CVO and Senior Trainer at Organization Leadership Coaching.  OLC Specializes in providing clients with professional training in Coaching, Leader Development and Organization Strategy Planning with follow up through Alignment. The organization also focuses on teaching leadership training classes in group facilitation, consulting, project planning, team building and management excellence.

 

Gary has extensive experience in working in organizations through his 23 years as a Military Commissioned Officer and NCO and work in non-profit organizations and hospitals.  His expert coaching and organization development skills as well as his understanding of the dynamics and challenges of motivating people allowed him to influence a wide range of organizations – from the US Government, Multiple Hospital Systems and State/National Religious Conventions and Associations.  

People have said of Gary that he has a “warm engaging style that is full or energy and insight.”  Gary’s approach to leadership and coaching is one of  “passion and calling.”  His motto is to “Help Organizations engage Great Futures successfully with Compassionate Care for its People.”  The bottom line to his energy is - "people matter and are the most important asset to any organization."  He wants to see organizations move from “telling modes of leadership to asking ones” that enable workers at all levels to step into the realm of personal leadership and perform all services from a personal brand of character.   

 

He has a B. S. in Social Services and Rehabilitation with an emphasis in Criminal Justice from the American Technological University (Tarleton State University), both the Masters of Divinity and Masters of Theology from Grace Theological Seminary, a Doctorate of Divinity from the American Theological Seminary, is a Corporate Coach University Certified Graduate (CCUCG) and holds the Master Certified Coach (MCC) designation with the International Coaching Federation. Gary has certifications in the Birkman Personality Inventory, Myers Briggs, Conflict Mediation, LeadStrtat Certificates in Secrets to Effective Group Facilitation & Secrets to Effective Strategy, Hoshin Strategy Planning, Covey’s - 7 Habits of Effective People -  5 Choices – Speed of Trust - 4 Discipines of Execution - and 4 Leadership Imperatives. Gary is one of a handful internationally to hold the Level 3/Train the Trainer designation in Legacy Leadership(R) certified under Coach Works International and was recently Certified in the last Conversational Intellegence Course offered by Judith Glaser before her death.  He lives in San Antonio with his lovely wife Priscilla and manages his ranch with horses.

Chaplain (LTC) John W. Ellis graduated Cum Laude from Park University in Parkville, Missouri with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology and a minor in Business Administration.  CH Ellis went to Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Kansas City, Missouri and graduated with a Master of Divinity degree.

 

CH (LTC) Ellis joined the Army in May of 1968.  He served for 33 years in numerous leadership positions with  distinction.  He retired in 2005 from Eisenhower Army Medical Center as the Sr. Clinician.  His highest award is the Legion of Merit.

 

Chaplain (LTC) Ellis pastored churches in Texas, Georgia, and Germany. From April 2005 until December 2012.  He provided pastoral leadership for over 7 years.

 

He was the President and Chief Executive Officer of International Chaplaincy Ministries (ICO).  ICO provides consulting activities, leadership training, team building and, family training programs to the military, small business, and church organizations.

ICO partnered with Franklin Covey, Inc. to provide 15 different Leadership and Human Development courses to leaders and employees in the Veterans Administration hospitals from June 2010 – March 2013.  These seminars were taught in the United States, Germany, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico.

 

Chaplain (LTC) Ellis was hired by the Kansas City VA Medical Center to be the Chief of Chaplain Services from April 2013 until April 2015.  Under his leadership, the department provided pastoral care to patients, families and staff .  He supervised and rebuilt a Clinical Pastor Education program to train chaplains.

In June 2015, CH (LTC) Ellis developed his own company: True North Leadership Consultants, LLC.  With over 39 years of leadership experience, teaching, and speaking; his company provides consulting, coaching, and leadership training to individuals, government agencies, small business, and religious organizations.  His company has a Joint Venture with

Organizational Leadership Coaching to provide certified coach training and with Franklin Covey to teach courses to the Federal Government and Augusta, GA.

CH (LTC) Ellis received certification from the International Coaching Federation as an Associate Certified Coach (ACC).  He specializes in the following coaching areas: Coaching Training, Executive/Leadership, Life Coaching, Christian Coaching, and Business Coaching.  His other certifications include 14 Crisis Intervention Workshops, the Myers Briggs Type Indicator (Levels 1&2), Christian Life Profile, and the Prepare/Enrich Inventory.

 

John Ellis is married to Helga G. Ellis (Grebe) and has four kids, six grand-children, and 3 great grand- children.  He now lives in Augusta, GA.

His background includes managing budgets in excess of $500M and achieving 100% of fiscal goals in record time.
