The Lead-Attitudes of Great Leaders 360

INTRODUCTION

THE LEAD-ATTITUDES OF GREAT LEADERSHIP 360° ASSESSMENT

AND CERTIFICATION

The Purpose and Power of 360° Evaluations

Healthy, courageous, and enduring leadership begins with the willingness to see oneself clearly. A 360° leadership assessment gives leaders the rare gift of honest, multi-angle feedback that reveals their present leadership impact and illuminates the path toward future growth. Unlike traditional evaluations that rely solely on one supervisor or one perspective, a 360° gathers input from multiple phases of a leader’s relational ecosystem—subordinates, peers, supervisors, and senior executives. This “multi-rater feedback” (often called multi-source or multi-phase feedback) forms a comprehensive picture of how a leader is actually experienced in real time.

For emerging and seasoned leaders alike, 360° feedback is invaluable. It highlights strengths, exposes blind spots, and provides an evidence-based foundation for coaching, strategic planning, succession planning, leadership retreats, organizational development, team recalibration, and personal growth initiatives. The clarity gained becomes the baseline from which future leadership advancements are measured.

At Organizational Leadership Coaching®, LLC (OLC), this spirit of honest self-examination is foundational. Our commitment, shaped by decades of coaching leaders across sectors, is simple: Transformation requires clarity. And clarity begins with assessment.

ABOUT DR. GARY CHARLES PATTERSON, MCC

Dr. Gary Charles Patterson, Master Certified Coach (ICF), is the creator of the Lead Attitudes of Great Leadership Method and founder of Organizational Leadership Coaching®, LLC. His leadership philosophy and the 12 Lead Attitudes are the culmination of over 50 years of observing, coaching, training, and developing leaders across government, corporate, nonprofit, ministry, and military contexts.

The 12 Lead Attitudes represent a lifetime of distilled wisdom—patterns he observed repeatedly in great leaders—and codified into a structured methodology that can be taught, evaluated, measured, and embodied.

Dr. Patterson often describes these Lead Attitudes using the metaphor of the ancient Jewish phylacteries—small capsules worn on the forehead and arm containing Scripture so that God’s truth would stay ever before the eyes and ever at hand.

In the same way, The Lead Attitudes are designed to be the modern “leadership phylacteries”—the truths and principles leaders keep at the forefront of their minds and at the strength of their actions. They are reminders that leadership is not accidental; it is formed, remembered, practiced, and lived.
